YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
BSCI, LLC is a great and knowledgable company to work with. They have installed and updated multiple cameras here at our location and our sister location (ARC Alabama). Their expertise is undeniable and our system works flawlessly.
These guys are great! Anytime we have an issue at one of locations they’ve been able to get the camera or equipment up and running in no time. They systems we currently have in place are older so they need to be tended to every now and then. We also had them install a new system at our corporate office and it’s been working great!
I had Will install a basic security camera system for our new office and setup the network. The cameras look great and I love being able to access them from anywhere at anytime. These guys are really good at what they do.

Our specific lines of security cameras are from basic to advanced. We have and supply 1080p Resolution cameras all the way to 12MP (Mega Pixel) cameras. Along with the cameras we can supply the DVR (Digital Video Recorders) and NVRs (Network Video Recorders) for any type of system that you may need. Check out our store below and if you have any questions feel free to give us a call.
Each camera system comes with a NVR Recorder or a DVR Recorder. I know. I know. “You’re probably asking yourself what the heck is an NVR Recorder and a DVR Recorder?” Well, let me explain. The NVR Digital Recorder is today’s standard in IP Camera system installation and is made to directly configure into your existing home or office network. The NVR Stands for Network Video Recorder. This means we can plug in the recorder to your Network and it will become part of your network that way you can access it from anywhere on your network or for that matter anywhere in the world. These systems record via the camera and transmit the data from the camera to the NVR itself thus making it viewable to the user on multiple platforms – tablet, PC, MAC, or Smart Phone.
Now, a DVR is a Digital Video Recorder. Yes, they can still do everything a NVR does but the main difference is a DVR will need extra power extensions for each camera to power the cameras where as a NVR will only need a single Cat5 (Low Voltage Cable). But, either one will work fine. The only “major” cost difference in the two systems is that we here at Birmingham Security Camera Installation would suggest to get CAT5 extensions that way it would make the DVR able to support PoE (Power over Ethernet). So, essentially you wouldn’t need any power cords for the camera’s themselves as they would be powered by the Cat5 cable. Also, when recording, the cameras actually write the data to the DVRs Hard Drive. Generally, when installing a DVR system this would be recommended.
